We are a faith-based group who seek Story, Community & Generosity for the benefit of our city.

Located in the heart of Manteca, Brethren Brew Pub is a gathering like no other. Started in 2017, we mix church-like experiences and community with delicious beer provided by Brethren Brewing Company.

BBP is hosted at Brethren Brewing Company and is part of the HUB209 network.

We know that it might sound odd to hear about such a gathering but we spent a lot of time, prayer, and responsibility to make sure that our time together is edifying to the larger Body of Christ.

That’s why we only allow two pints during our gathering and drinking beer is not a requirement for participation. A lot of time, love, and care has been put into the creation of these delicious beverages and we want to honor the craft.

We also have plenty of water offered for free and non-alcoholic beverages, like soda, to purchase from the taproom.  

We guarantee it’s not what you think and we have always encouraged those who are skeptical to come out and experience this gathering. 

Brethren Brew Pub has morphed over the years.  We break out into groups, open our Bibles, and read a passage of scripture.  We don't follow any curriculum but have a series of open-ended questions that help spark a conversation.  We have time toawrds the end to pray for specific needs.

We do this for about an hour, and then we gather the groups together, hear from the larger group, and ask about the main takeaway.

At the end, we do a toast, or the "last word."

Each person gets 2 free beers or sodas if you like.  Light snacks are provided.  

Embedded into our DNA is the desire to give back to our community. One way BBP has done this is by highlighting a local, national, or international non-profit and raising funds for the work they are doing.

Over the years we have raised tens of thousands of dollars for organizations that are pounding the pavement and making their communities thrive.
